How we review accounts

The rules every number and every claim on this site follows.

Where the facts come from

We copy fees, interest rates (APY), sign-up bonuses and account features only from the provider's own website. Each fact links to the page we took it from and shows the date we checked it. If we have not verified a fact, we do not show it.

Banks and fintechs

We label every provider as a bank or a fintech. For fintechs, we quote the provider's own description of its partner bank and deposit insurance. We never call a fintech a bank unless its own site does.

How often we check

Fees, rates and bonuses change. We recheck each account on a regular schedule and whenever a provider announces a change, and we update the date shown next to each fact.

Rankings and scores
